Who we are
Agora Flooring Inc. ("Agora Flooring", "we", "us") is a tile and flooring installation company based in Ottawa, Ontario. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us, such as when you request an estimate on our website, fill in a form on Facebook or Instagram, call, text or email us:
- Contact details: your name, phone number, email address and, if you share it, your address or postal code.
- Project details: the type of work, flooring or tile you're interested in, your preferred appointment date and time, timing, and any photos, measurements or notes you send.
- Design files: if you book a 3D design consultation, the room measurements, photos and selections you provide.
Our website uses privacy-friendly, cookie-free visit statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that count page views without identifying you. Our 3D design tool may save your design in your own browser's storage so you don't lose it; that information stays on your device unless you send it to us.
How we use it
- To contact you about your request, prepare your estimate and schedule a visit or call.
- To design, quote, install and warranty your project.
- To keep basic records of the work we did, for warranty and accounting purposes.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We won't add you to a marketing list without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share information with service providers that help us run the business, and only what they need:
- Web3Forms, which delivers estimate requests from our website to our email.
- Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram), when you submit a lead form or message us on those platforms. Meta's own privacy policy also applies to information you share there.
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website.
- Our email and accounting providers, and suppliers or subcontractors working on your project, when needed to complete it.
Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests for up to two years in case you'd like to go ahead later. Records for completed projects are kept as long as needed for warranty, tax and legal purposes. After that, we delete them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to being contacted. Email info@agoraflooring.com and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Keeping it safe
We limit access to your information to the people who need it to serve you, and we use reputable providers with secure, encrypted connections.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
